True enough, the movie was all action. Even though it's a pure action movie, not much violence was involved. I wouldn't say the movie does not comprise any storyline, but the plot was rather flat and without climax or intensity. The special effects is too 'special' for me to bear. At certain points, I felt like I was watching a cartoon. Probably I'll be more interested if it was a cartoon. Yet again, if it was a cartoon, I might not even watch it to begin with. Seeing that they put so much effort in the special effects and I wasn't wow-ed by it even for a minute - quite saddening. The other thing that annoyed me during this movie was the slow motions. They used it so often that it becomes plain corny.
The only character that I found interesting was Ripcord (Marlon Wayans). I don't like Marlon Wayans because of his choices of movies like all the Scary Movies. But I have to say, he was the perfect man for Ripcord and he really made me laughed. Channing Tatum was just stoned face as usual, Sienna Miller looked great in black hair and there wasn't much of Dennis Quad, which is a waste.
The movie ended with another typical super-cool-action-heroes-good-triumphed-over-evil scene. Where all the main 'Joes' were lined up in one horizontal line, walking towards the camera, wind is blowing and it was in slow motion (yes, again). Slow-mo ended by Ripcord saying 'Damn, we look good'. Well, I have to agree.
