Oprah's Kickoff Party Dance

It's a flash mob that took over Chicago's Magnificent Mile. 21,000 of Oprah's biggest fans perform one of the biggest dances in the world to the Black Eyed Peas' "I Gotta Feeling." Super cool. Just click on the post title to watch it.

Creative Wedding March and Dance

You know wedding dance, march and the whole charade is somehow suppose to be romantic, lovey dovey, mushy and lined up with so many teary moments. That can be quite the bore from a guest's point of view. Wedding only happens once in a life time (for most people anyway), it's all about being happy on that special day and sharing that special moment with all your loved ones. I've stumbled upon these videos from Youtube that should be a benchmark of all weddings. It's enlightening, sweet and romantic in a very unconventional way.

Creative Wedding March

Kudos to the bride, groom and all the bridesmaids and groomsmen for being such a sport. This is going to be a trend, I just know it will be.

P/S:I think I'll like to do this for my wedding (somewhere in the distant future), seeing that I love dancing so much. It only makes sense!

Creative First Dance
This is another video I found on Youtube, this is a very cool way to do your First Dance.

Again very unconventional and not too mushy, but yet it comes across as romantic and sweet. You can see everyone is just having fun, including the bride and groom. This is how a wedding should be like!

The Breast Cancer Dance

This is a powerful choreography by Emmy Nominee - Tyce Diorio. He choreographed this dance based on his friend's battle against breast cancer experience. This elegant and emotional Breast Cancer Tribute was performed by Melissa and Ade on So You Think You Can Dance to the music 'This Woman's Work' by Maxwell. All the judges and audiences were moved to tears. I cried watching this dance piece, I think a lot of us can relate to the emotions that were expressed by the dancers. Take a good look at it and tell me what you think.

Dance to Advertise

In the advertising industry, we're often seeking new unconventional ways to advertise. Print, TV, Radio and Outdoor advertising are considered traditional media for advertising. So what's the latest trend in advertising?

Dance to advertise!

T-Mobile's latest ad called 'Dance' was created by Saatchi & Saatchi London for T-Mobile's Life's for Sharing campaign. The dance took place at London's Liverpool Street Station on 15th January 2009 at 11.00a.m. It was produced using hidden TV cameras within the station, which captured the spontaneous reactions of commuters as they watched the dance troupe perform. The guerrilla-style/flash mob ad was three minutes long. 450 people from all walks of life participated in this ad. The dance was choreographed by Bryony Albert and the songs used for this piece were all-time-favourite songs of different genre.

This is such a feel-good ad! I wish I was part of this, it'll be so fun!
To follow up on this flash mob, T-Mobile set up their very own Youtube channel and uploaded several videos of the Dance rehearsals, celebrities doing the T-Mobile Dance, etc. The latest one is a Sing-Along held at Trafalgar Square on 30 April 2009 at 6.00 p.m. The Sing-Along was lead by Pink and 13 500 people participated.

Here is another dance to advertise piece:
This dance was a promotion stunt for a Belgian television program, where they were scouting for someone to play the leading role in the famous musical - The Sound of Music. This stunt was performed in Central Station of Antwerp, on the 23 March 2009 at 8.00a.m. 200 dancers participated in this 4 minutes long ad, the song used was a remix of one of the Sound of Music theme song - Do Re Mi.

If any of this flash mob ever happen in Malaysia, please count me in! Because I believe dancing can change the world.

Me, Myself & Tammy

  • About Me
I am perky and can be real cranky at times. A perfectionist with many flaws. I am a hypocrite when it comes to certain things. I only do things I love to do. When it comes to things I am passionate about, I give it my 100%. I love those who love me. I appreciate those who have been kind to me. Without these people I would not be who I am today.
