Our MD suggested we should organize an in house movie night instead of going to the cinemas. For the in house movie night, we will take turns to bring our favorite movie and share it with the rest. The first one to share was Saad and he's favorite movie is Cinema Paradiso. Cinema Paradiso begins with a flashback. It tells the story of a young boy (Salvatore / Toto) and his friendship with an old man (Alfredo) who was the projectionist at their native Sicilian Village cinema. Alfredo serves as a wise father figure to Toto, as Toto's father never returned from war. The film intertwines sentimentality with comedy. It explores issues of youth, coming of age, and reflections (in adulthood) about the past. Cinema Paradiso is also a celebration of films.
