I went to this restaurant last Saturday with my relatives from Singapore, my family (except dad, he had to work) and Dan. We ordered their signature dishes like Tom Yam Coconut Prawn and Salted Baked Crab. It was my second time visiting this restaurant, the first time experience left me in awe. However, this time we were truly disappointed. They gave us bad coconut that tasted bitter and gassy, bad crab that stinked, the crabs weren't fresh, some seafood are not available, they didn't give us enough cup for our tea, they took away one dish that we haven't finished, and the waiter spilled sauce on my uncle's favourite t-shirt.
Big let down! The only thing that we were satisfied with was the Tom Yam Coconut Prawn and deep fried Mantou! Yet somehow, I would still want to return to this restaurant and give it a second chance. No one is 100% perfect, so I guess that can be applied to restaurants as well.
The Huts Dining Area
Double Story Dining Area, very kampung style.
I love Coconut Juice, I'm just not feeling it for this one.
All the dishes except for the crabs.
The best dish of all - Tom Yam Coconut Prawn.
Salted Baked Crab - their signature dish.
There were leftover sweet and sour crabs, can you imagine how unappetizing it was?
One of the dishes we enjoyed - deep fried Mantou!
Dan overlooking Nigel enjoying his crab and my uncle mopping over his favourite t-shirt.

Noel posing with two huge fishes. I can't remember their species name.
That's all for this trip to Coconut Flower Restaurant! The next time I come here I must try the Coconut Flower Wine!
FYI, Coconut Flower Wine looks a lot like Barley. Dan told me it is best to drink it during the afternoon. He also said that it has a sweet taste and fragrant and it will turn sour if it was brewed for too long.
Till then, Toodles!
