This place is a MUST VISIT! Not because of the food or the ambiance, but because of the stall owners!
They literally assault you to get you to order your drinks or food from them. They will crowd your table, keep repeating the food or drinks they're serving, while totally ignoring the other parties, and they will never give up till you actually order something from them. The taukes at this place are the best direct selling agents in the whole wide world! They keep coming back and they won't rest till they succeed. Those that are more aggressive are the taukes from Lo Yau Kee (old uncle) and Kam Kee (old aunty), they both sell rice, noodles and fried seafood. Those that are less aggressive are the ah neh from the drink stalls. They will come up to you, three or four of them altogether and once you've completed your order, they will take turns to come to your table again and either promote their own stalls or criticize the other stalls.
Here you can experience your very own front row seat of Battle of the Hawkers!
Uncle representing Lo Yau Kee.
Aunty representing Kam Kee.
The battle begins! The prize? An order or probably many orders!
4 of them assaulting customers that just arrived. They ordered from the Aunty and the Aunty from Kam Kee wins!
Wait a minute! The uncle has not given up! He went back to pursuit more orders and he got them! It is a tie after all!!!!
Rice with Sambal Sotong and Egg (RM6). The sotong and sambal were pre-cooked, so it wasn't hot when it was served. The sambal tasted too sweet, but the sotong tasted alright.
Teh-o-Ais was too diluted and the Coke tasted like Coke (RM3) - thank God!
Yeah, the food and drinks served were nothing special and it didn't taste very good. I would still recommend this place for people to try, it was anyhow still a hilarious dining experience.
Harrrr, go ss2 mamak also never call me..huh..
anyway. Dont order from Kam Kee, food not nice..
Teh O ais limau must order from Gerai minum M.I. okay!!
LOL, we're going for spring chicken ma.. Patience la...
Shhhh!!! Later the Aunty from Kam Kee karate chop you!
I don't know is it from that Gerai Minum, the ah neh just came and ask for orders. If I'm not mistaken, it's from one of the Gerai Minum next to Kam Kee.
