The Domino's brand suffered a downfall when a video of two Domino's employees tampering with customers' food was uploaded on Youtube.
After watching this video, I can imagine the nasty things people are capable of doing to tamper your food. Whether are we aware of it or not, this type of incidents (maybe not that extreme) are happening in many restaurants, even at the classier ones. I've personally heard people claiming they've done it. The common reasons behind such actions are because the customers were mean/rude/nasty to the people who made/prepared their food. My advice? "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." Don't be a mean/rude/nasty customer and you won't be served food that has been tampered with.
This is what the President of Domino's of USA had to say:
Come to think of it. Can you imagine what will happen if all the actions that were mentioned were implied to all the famous hawker and mamak stalls in Malaysia?
No more Malaysian Delicacies (Roti Canai, Char Kuay Teow, Tandoori, Nasi Lemak, etc) I tell you!
Most food that are served in hawker and mamak stalls can be considered as unhygienic as having people tampering with your food. So why the big fuss? I rest my case, long live Domino's Pizza and Malaysian food!
